Manchester City Logo

Manchester City Fixtures Squad Kits Transfer News Premier League 2019

Manchester City have worn four different badges in total, the latest one being introduced in 2016. The first logo was adopted in the year 1970 which was based on the design that was used for official documentation of the club. In 1972, a new badge was introduced with few modifications. The rose of Lancashire was introduced in the badge.

In 1997, a new logo was designed which was based on the arms of the city of Manchester and also consisted of a shield in front of golden eagle. This logo received a lot of criticism by city’s fans . The club designed a new logo on demand of its fans. This logo was in the same style as the older one with some circular variations. The design was officially unveiled on 26 December 2015, although it was leaked 2 days before.

Manchester City kit 2019-20

City’s current deal with Nike expires at the end of June, with Puma taking up the rights to produce their shirts.

And Puma have released their kits, with the home shirt sporting a purple trim on a sky blue background. The away kit this season is black, while the third kit is expected to be a blend of yellow and red… much like a rhubarb and custard sweet!

SUMMARY

Manchester City will be gunning for a third consecutive Premier League title when they kick off the 2019/20 season this August.Pep Guardiola’s men have stormed the top flight in the past two seasons, with only Liverpool able to come close to matching their power.

However, it will be interesting to see how City respond to the growing threat of the Reds, particularly now that legendary captain Vincent Kompany has departed.
